Lightbulb

I think that the easiest way to get that carbon fiber look is to buy the carbon fiber sheets.

uve also heard another way wat some guys do is that they spray the hood like a black and then take a very fine mesh and put it over the entire hood tping it off and then spraying it with a gunmealt or something and then remove the mesh. I still have never tried this becasue it sounds to advance for me right now. but if u try this and it doesnt work for u dont get mad at me, and maybe u caould ask some other guys for more detailed instrcutions.

I tried it on a curved engine intake once, it sucked because I couldn't hold the mesh right over the curves. But I bet it would work fine on a hood since a hood is nice and flat.

If you take a look at the Tamiya site it has a hint/tips page which tells you how to do the carbon fibre look using the mesh method,
but an easier way would be decals and as your in the U.K take a look at this site MRM INTERNATIONAL
Hope that helps!

That's a Kevlar/carbon fiber composite, what you want is pure carbon fiber.

Try www.scalemotorsports.com they make all different carbon fibre decals, as well as some other cool stuff.

You can also try www.twoguysracing.com and go to their Scale Motorsports section. Keep in mind the scale of the carbon fiber if you are ordering from them.
