Would I regret selling my first car?

This is more of a personal opinion question rather than a technical one. Snow is almost here, and I'm considering just selling the Camaro rather than garaging it and buying a 2nd winter beater. I know I'd feel like crap not being the dude with the green z28 anymore, but I could almost guarantee that after winter I'd pour my money into a newer F-body with an LS1 in it...do you guys think this new car would fill the void of my old Camaro, or would I still regret it, just cus it was my first car that got me around in high school?

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

I would keep it and save up the money over the winter you would have used to buy a LS1 and with a tiny investment you will be faster than a LS1 at a fraction of the price or you could go with the newer car and your plan but I think you will miss the o'le LT1 down the road.

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

It must suck to live in a place where it snows. I drive my camaro all year long.

I think the ls1 will fill the void of the lt1, but like John said you could end up with a faster product with less money staying with the lt1.

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

Keep it dude, you might regret it later and you'll get more coin out of it if you sell it in the spring or summer when people are looking for a fun car.

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

Well everyone here is saying keep it. So I say sell it and get a real car. A mustang...

Just kidding, I'd keep it and save up and mod it when summer hits. Either way even if you do sell it which in the midst of winter will be hard, you would be happy with an ls1...Good luck...

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

I'll comform and say keep it. Sure, later on you're in the market for an LS1, but what if it takes you awhile to find one that you like. That's just more time that you won't be driving the toy. If there's nothing wrong with the LT1, keep it and mod it next spring/summer. You can always sell it later if you really want to, but its harder to find a decent LS1, they don't grow on trees anymore.

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

Keep it, with gas prices going down, the price of 4 bangers are dropping at a mad rate. Get a little cat litter box on wheels for a couple of hundred bucks, and store the 'maro.

Re: Would I regret selling my first car?

another vote for keeping it. you would regret it (believe me i know). store it for the winter, save some green and get a few bolt ons. cheaper in the long run that buying an ls1 equiped car.
