Went to the track again!

It's my birthday so I said screw work, I'm gonna go down to Atco Raceway and get me a new best.

Previous best from sunday at Island Dragway:

60 2.064
330 6.089
1/8 9.443
MPH 72.86
1000 12.342
1/4 14.792
MPH 92.01

that was a new best ET (personal et anyway) and MPH. 60' was up there with my bests as well.

changes to tonight: car was heavier (1/2 tank as opposed to 1/4 tank of gas)

run #1: front tires at 35psi (oops, forgot to air em up), rears at 26. Left lane. Medium burnout, then I had to wait for a car to limp off the track so i backed up for another small burnout, not as big as I'd have liked.

7:38 PM

60 2.168 (ew)
330 6.232
1/8 9.560
MPH 73.20
1000 12.456
1/4 14.903
MPH 92.49

after that run I hit up the air machine... front tires up to 50 psi. Attributed the bad 60' to tired being too cold. Left lane again, did a medium burnout and staged.

9:25 PM

60 2.211
330 6.209
1/8 9.524
MPH 73.45
1000 12.409
1/4 14.845
MPH 92.88

and then the evo that i was lined up with, once we had both crossed the lines, turned his hazards on, fuggin ricer.

After that run I said F the left lane, it ain't hooking (not to mention for some reason my car didnt wanna drive totally straight that run... idk.) Took the rear tires down to 25 PSI and then gawked at my MPH for a while. Looked at that slip and hoped for a 14.6 if I could hook on the third pass.

When I got to the front of the lanes (you know, the turn to go thru the wall) I looked to my left... 4 door, 97-ish GTP. I said nice, this should be a good race. I out-60d him by nearly 2 tenths, then we were basically even until the 1/8th... then that damn blower woke up and he pulled away (he ran 14.472 @ 96.28)

10:52 PM

60 2.077
330 6.050
1/8 9.394
MPH 73.14
1000 12.294
1/4 14.745
MPH 92.20

I heard them spin thru the 60' so thought it was gonna be worse than that... new best for me AND my car none the less. I'm still wonderin what I coulda done with 1 more run and a bigger burnout tho... maybe the elusive 1.9x?? at least 2.00x? *sigh* oh well.

I dont get it. What does it mean when he puts his hazards on? Is that supposed to be an insult or something?

When someone flashes the hazards it means they beat you.. but it doesnt make much sense when you're in the strip.. because usually the hazard means the race is over.
