Odometer problems
Can anyone tell me if they have lost the lighting to the odomerter in their 2001 Centruy? It went out a few weeks ago and it did not seem to be to big an issue...except my inspection is up the end of this month!!
I am hoping it is a fuse but there is not one thing that tells you which fuse it is!!! ![]() If it not a fuse and turns out to be a light bulb...how hard is that to change??? Thanks!! |

Any other lights or anything not working. Is it just odemeter or all dash lights? Also wiggle or turn the dash dimmer switch Insturment panel fuse box on passenger side of insturment panel Fuse 10-H is panel dimming fuse. Also you might check 8-A ign clusterfuse. If you find the fuse box check all fuses while you are there. MT

Re: Odometer problems
Is it just the odometer readout and/or the shift indicators out too PRND321?
The odometer readout works independent of the IP dimmer controls and headlight switch. Dimming is controlled by the photo sensor and the DRL module when auto headlight system activates. However, you should get the display at ignition on/run. There is no separate fuse for it specifically. This is a common problem on the late model Century. Corrective action requires replacement of the IP Cluster Assembly. There is a module that goes bad within the IP.
