Perma Plate - black interior powder residue
We're having a terrible problem with the interior of a 2006 Acura TL. The interior is tan leather. A black powderish residue has accumulated on the seats, "ceiling," and doors. It is almost like magnetic flakes. It does not wipe off easily . . . it looks horrible. We think it has something to do with the Perma Plate application. It almost looks like those "ionic breeze" commercials where they black stuff sticks to the metal surface - only it is ruining the leather and fabric interior.
Any ideas anyone??? |

Re: Perma Plate - black interior powder residue
Take it back to whoever did the Perma Plating. Most likely something they screwed up with and should fix.

Re: Perma Plate - black interior powder residue
Thanks, we are pursuing it with the dealership . . . they admit there is a problem, but claim to have never seen it before or know what is causing it. The Perma Plate is the only thing that we can think of since it was added to the interior. Thank you again for your reply.
