Grand Prix a/c problems.

I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT. I went out to get in my car to go to work and heard a noise coming from inside the car. I opened the door and my blower was going by itself with no ignition! This is also after settings 1 and 2 went out. The blower would also come on randomly while driving with the knob set to OFF. I also came out of work to a dead battery one day. I suspect the blower came on and drained my battery. So i took the HVAC fuse out to save my battery and keep the blower from coming on randomly. Settings 3 and 4 worked without the fuse in until recently all settings don't work. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Re: Grand Prix a/c problems.

Welcome to AF.

Do you have a auto digital climate control or manual HVAC?

On a manual system when the blower continues to run with ignition to off, the blower motor resistor is bad.

It will kill a battery fast.
