Your Sigs..please read

This well save me alot of PM's to people and ones being sent to me as well
I've already sent a few out to ppl, so i thought this might be a quicker way.
It has been asked by a few if we could cut down the size of some of the pictures in our sigs. Those who have slow computers, it takes awhile to load the pic and thread if there are lots of replys. I know we all like shownig our models, but please try and keep them to a size that is similar to all the others.
Thanks for your help in this matter.
PMan

Perhaps some guidelines as to size will help Warren??? Just a thought.

I noticed that too, isn't there a way to compress the pics like the ones under our name?

completely off topic, fly, when is your store thing gonna be up?

i would suggest max res for the sig's pics 200 x 200 has enough detail in it, and is 4 times larger than the avatar. still the size would be small enough for dial-up modems, and maybe a max of 2 or 3 pics in the sig would reduce the pic overflow some can create.

Off course some like banners more then a big block of pic.. so a res of 400 x 100 in banner style would be the same as a normal pic with 200 x 200 res.

If people want to show more pics in their sig's maybe putting links to a page would be an option, instead of placing many pics. or reduce the size and put a coulpe of pics into one.

just my 0.02 worth

Just cut my sig picture from 14k to 8k by shrinking the size and using higher compression. Sounds a good idea to me.

it's res = 450 x 161 but the size is just 16kb, have seen higher size at lower res, but 16kb is reasonable IMO. The max of an avatar was IIRC 20kb and that is a 100 x 100 pic. Maybe shrinking it just a little bit would be nice, but it's size is already very small.
This is just my opinion.

And Mentel, no you may not bog us down anymore with the nice great pics of your models j/k
(but if you are nice to dial-up's you shrink them... but that's your call)

Hi PMan,

no problem, I've cut the size by 40%. Pictures are now 6k io 13k. It's just that the others know what the projects are. Quality is not the issue here I think.

Cheers,
