Add your year/make/model to your sig, before I snap..

For the love of God people, everyone check your sigs, if your car info isnt there, add it now. Please

1) I'm just going to stop replying. My car will run the same regardless Help us help you. I don't always have the motivation to search through profiles, check out home pages, contact the CIA, etc, to get the info I need to answer your question.

2) Perhaps the mods could add this to the official rules, I didn't see it there. I would also change the title of that thread to make it more clear at first glance that that is the list of rules for this forum. If not, thats fine too, see number 1.

Thanks guys.

What about the enthusiasts that dont have a DSM? Do they have to post theirs? Like kind of like telling someone what to mod on their cars, just in a signature, IMO. But it is quite helpful if you have Q's.

i think everyone should have that info in the sig regardless of what forum they are in. I agree with Kevin, everyone should put their car info in their sig.

Re: Add your year/make/model to your sig, before I snap..

For those that are not aware of how to change your sig, click on the "USER CP" link near the top right of every page, then click on "signature."

While we're talking about sigs, lets mention a few sig no-no's...

Huge pics. I dont need a full screen image of your car. Keep it reasonable.

Also don't need a full screen mod list. I'm not at all against mod lists in the sig, in fact it can be quite helpful in diagnosing problems or making part recomendations, etc. But don't list each one vertically so it takes a whole page. List them all in line, comma seperated.

Yeah, that should do it. Let's all pitch in and make the world a better place

Re: Add your year/make/model to your sig, before I snap..

I have a Pontiac Grand Prix and I dont ever really go in the GP forum so I have just never listed it. But I can if that would be better. Any other problems with my sig let me know. I realize that hemp has nothing to do with cars but ya know...

Its really not that hard people. It prob takes a min or so, so please make the effort of adding your car make/model in your sig. That is all!

Re: Re: Add your year/make/model to your sig, before I snap..

It really only matters if you have a DSM question and you want it answered. I don't think many poeple in the DSM section care (or are able) to answer questions about a Pontiac.

Having car info in the sig can also help me guage the potential inaccuracy of other people's replies as well. If someone answeres a question incorrectly, I may understand why if I can see that the thread starter has a 2g and the guy replying has a 1g. And so on. Its for youre own good poeple, not mine No one can answer a question properly if they don't know what it is. And when I see someone answer a question with a correct answer, but not for that car, I wanna kick the donkey biscuits out of them. Its half the asker's fault for not being clear, and half the answerer's fault for not getting that info before replying. But now I'm just thinking out loud... Carry on.

Actually, since I used to own a pontiac, I have some knowledge of their firebirds and trans ams, but other than that, I have no clue.
