Rubber cement
Has anyone used this stuff to mask off parts when painting? So long as it doesn't react with the paint, I think it'd be way better than masking off with tape.

just tried it. It does not work for the window
It is very hard to seperate. It would work well though for masking off things like lower side skirts, that's if it doesn't react with the paint, I still have yet to test it.I'm still working on an easier way than masking off with masking tape though. I think I may have it! I bought some of those heavy duty permanent markers with finer tips. What I'm doing is painting the inside of the window with acrylic, then coming back and making it straight with the pen, which is much easier to handle than the brush. We'll see how it turns out.

Humbrol made a product call 'Maskol' it was a like a masking tape that you painted on and peeled off when finished.
Im not sure if its still available as I havnt seen it in a while. (although I dont live near any decent hobby stores anyway) |

I actually used "Sharpies" or permanent makers for the window frames before, one problem with mine was it was "glossy" and not toward the semi-gloss to flat area.
