Re: 99 LeSabre Fuel Pump

a loud humm means your pump is about to burn out. i ahd mine humm for over a year and it still didnt go out, but i changed it bacause i have problem, and the fuel pump wast though to be it, didnt help. recomendation is to drive for as long as you can and wait for it yo stop. unless you abosoulty hate the nois or dont waht to get stranded, but there no telling how long it will last, possibly last for years. or you would change t if you had extra money to spend.

Welcome on your first post on AF.
First thing check that fuel filter.
It may be stopped up.
Also run a fuel pressure test on it.

On '99 and under models you will have to drop the gas tank. It wasn't until the 2000 model year that an access cover was added which would be located behind the rear passenger seat in the trunk.
