Anyone here that has a mold and can cast RB26 engines?

If you can please shoot me a PM.

Are the Aoshima RB26 kits out of stock everywhere now?

The Aoshima motor kits were pretty short production...

That's $14 for one Aoshima half-motor, or ~$18-20 for one whole Tamiya car with full motor...

The Tamiya Skylines always seem to be $25-40 around here..though Best 1 Hobby has the Tamiya R32 for $16.99. I have all the Tamiya Skylines in my stash, but don't remember which ones have engines or not.

Bummer. Tamiya's MSRP for the US market on this kit is $18.50.

Your LHS must have a lot of overhead...

All the Tamiya R32 kits have motors. None of the R33 or R34 kits do.

overhead? uhh, no, more like price gouging. generally if you go and order one that isn't normally stocked it's not marked up as much.

Re: Casting RB26 engine

Hobbylinc has the Tamiya R32 for US$14.09, so yeah, compared to $13.95 for a half of the engine, Tamiya R32 is a definitely better deal.
