Code 22 & 29 in a 92 buick century 3.3l

92 buick century 3.3l auto with Over drive
My engine light has come on. I checked the codes and they are code22 T.P.S. which I changed 6 months ago along with a tranny service and code 29 which is 4th gear switch fault. The car drives great the only thing I noticed is once in a while it shifts harder than normal. I also changed the computer and the ignition control module about 8 months ago. I don't know where this switch is or the best way to get it looked at. Would I be better off to take it to a garage or to a tranny shop or is there a way I can check it from home. Any help would be great thanx aaron

It sounds like you would be better off taking it to a transmission shop. I believe the DTC relates to a problem at the valve body which is located internally under the side cover. Possibly a shift solenoid.

I took it to a tranny shop and hooked it up to the scan tool and was getting 0 volts from the TPS. I removed the throttle body cleaned it and noticed the TPS was loose. I set it with a volt meter and reinstalled and I haven't had a problem in 2 days. Thanx for your help Aaron
