Nice... vs best

I've driven some very quick cars but none of the race cars I've driven or have been a passenger in are nice. They are all 'orrible, noisy, smoky, draughty things where about the only concession to creature comfort was the duck tape on the glove that changed gear (and on the hunk of foam taped to the knuckles on my right hand in the Formula Ford where I kept thumping the bodywork).

The two Porsches driven the 911 and 944T were both great cars but flawed. The Fiat X1/9 was interesting but demanded a lotus position for driving because of the shallowness of the footwell. The Fraser (which is a Lotus Seven derivative) has all the acceleration you'd want but is a noisy, windy thing with carbon seats and an interior of alloy panels...

.... so the nicest place to be... rain, hail, shine, commuter crawl or open road has to be cocooned in a big Lexus sedan... not the best car I've driven but the nicest to be in...

I have driven nearly every car available on Australian roads. Benefits of working at a mechanic/carwash include:
Porsche 911 Turbo
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R33)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6
BMW M3

A few more, but they're the highlights.

I know the feeling. I used to work at a car wash, but we dont see anything like GT-Rs or evos in teh US. Coolest car i ever got drive musta been a m3 or porsche, but the best car i ever sat in was a Lamborgini Diablo Monterey Edition...#15 out of 20 if i remember correctly.... i wish they woulda let me drive it
