89 240sx will not start

Hey all, I am new here.

Anyway, I was running low on water, and oil or something, water was on the min line, filled it up again, oil was also on the minimum and I filled that up too..

Anyway, it cranks, acts like it wants to start but fizzles out...

How it happened: I had my timing change replaced a while back, when I started the car it sputtered, like it was misfiring.. Anyway the mechanic came out, wiggled the fuel injector plugs and it was fine..

So, I tried starting it yesterday, it started fine but sputtered like it was only using 2 or 3 cylinders.. I popped the hood and messed with the connections and then it shut off..

Does anyone know something I can do at home, I cannot afford to have it towed :-(

Thanks in advance,
Josh

Re: 89 240sx will not start

I had the timing chain done a little while back.

Spark plugs are plugged in fine.

Havent checked the fuel pump yet, listen for the humming?
Battery is strong, it still turns over strongly..

Re: 89 240sx will not start

The pump seems to be priming when I turn the key, and liquid does not burst out of the radiator leaving the cap open so the head gasket should be fine..

I think it is with those plugs I played with..

Does anyone know what the plugs are called that are marked on

http://www.acecoolco.com/engine.jpg

?

Thanks

Re: 89 240sx will not start

SOLVED..
I played with the MAF I think it is (Mass AirFlow sensor plug ontop of the stock air filter unit) and it fired RIGHT UP.
Have a rough idle that goes to 500 / 600, but it clears up after a few seconds...
I still need to reattach the "staples" for each of the injector clips and 2 others which I cleaned out.
I am posting this as a resolution for those of you that encounter the same problem..

ALSO... I had it running where it would stall if I went under 1k rpm, and it would rev limit and bounce off of 2500 rpm...
Keywords: rev 2500 stall bog injector fuel spark plug
:-)
Thank you to everyone for allyour help, I am sure I will stay a member and communicate with everyone about other random stuff :-)
