i was told that i could bolt an 88-89 integra head on my 95 civic block. so is it possible to bolt a d16a8 head to a d15b7 block and if so, what all do i need to finish the job. thanks.

YES........the head should match up to the block. You can match the head of a D-series motor to another D-series block.......but never with a B-series (B18,B16..). You may want to get new headbolts instead of using the old ones...you can order these from a Honda dealer. And make sure you torque each bolt in the pattern and strength that is recommended by the manufacturer.
