One up on Fujimi tooling, one down for Toyota styling

http://www.1999.co.jp/asp/GoodsDetai...right102_e.asp

Fujimi new release, Toyota bB. Kit looks awsome, car design looks....artsy...

Looks to be a 2 in one kit. Car doesn't look like a design that would grow on you. Any word if Scion is getting this version?

And that is the raddest green mold color I've ever seen!!!(I wasn't around in the 70's, older guys, so-Raddest in my timeline. But wasn't one of the Tom Daniel's dune buggies a similar color?)

Your right, some of the Monogram Tom Daniels cars were molded in 'loud' colors.
I think Toyota/Scion is bringing this thing in, though I've heard that there is a big stock of 'o6's around.

Kind of a bummer. Toyota styling aside, the best part about 2-in-1 kits is that you get to throw the rest of the parts in your pile to use on something else....

WTF and I gonna use those on?!?

Maybe a Lotus 7?!

Re: One up on Fujimi tooling, one down for Toyota styling

As the owner of a 2005 xB, I prefer the styling of the "Gen 1" cars. Latest speculation is that the new bB is not coming to the US per Autoweek Magazine.

I have both Tamiya and Fujimi Gen 1 bB kits and will probably get a Gen 2 kit for my collection.
