Cool vid. Looks like the Goat is considerably faster, though the Jetta did rather well.

Did you get the pushrods fixed on your car Mushashi? Should be interesting to see your new and improved track times. I'm betting low 14's now. I'll guess at 14.2 at 102mph.

I hope it goes faster than that... if anything, I hope it traps higher. I mean, it has to be faster than my old Z28 (trapped 104-105mph)... has to be.

It was a bad road but it was early night on a weekday with lots of cars out on the main roads so we didnt have much spots to pick from.
Ive had two races on that strip, three with this one. The road surface was way too bumpy and I had to short shift cause If I took it all the way up and shifted I would break traction and I was worried if it broke in the middle of a hop I might spin her into a tree or worst, into Gotian.
It wassnt like I held back though. Ive ran his ass at the track and it was about the same, maybe a half car more. His Jetta is frigging fast though. I mean track times aside he does whoop on alot of big fish and youd be surprised how good he can drive. Maybe we suck at the 1320 but he does have autoX trophies and well I think thats worth alot of cred.

As for the pushrods bro, I never got them checked out but I've yet to missfire or have the car throw me a code so it looks like its all good.
I'll try to get some track times next week but no promises. I was gonna go this past wednesday but Gotian was trying to get the RX-8 that day and it didnt fall through! I have next wednesday off so I'll try again.

Maybe your car threw a code due to the heat soak. I've heard those engines heat up and pull timing like a mofo. In any event from seeing the vid I can see that you have improved at launching your car. I'm positive you'll run alot better at the track.

Hopefully you'll have better luck then me when I go to the track, being lined up against either a 17 sec. car, or a 9 sec. one

so you went limp huh.....hmmmm sounds like a personal problem to me.....hahaha j/p......not bad....you actually did pretty good.....I thought musashi would have murdered you worse than that but not bad.....he did have a passenger but you did say you short shifted....so not bad....oh and by the way props to the vid editing nice job....

Awww, thanks bro! I have been practicing a bit late at nights and stuff trying to nail a good technique. Im not gonna get all optimistic about the track though cause I tend to do bad when I get optimistic.
Ill try my best and hope for a good run though.

I wanted to take Bushido with me but he insisted on riding with Gotian. I had a second camera mounted on the goat but that video was useless due to the fact its too dark. Gotian also said the extra weight didnt bother him since he weights like 115lbs compared to my 195lbs. and I had about 100lbs worth of crap in my trunk plus the weight difference between the Goat and the Jetta, it all added up to him convincing me that the extra 200lbs from the cameraman wouldnt affect the race.

Yeah the camera work was very solid. I think we should make it an unwritten rule that men should be the camera holders, after seeing everyone's girlfriends holding the cameras J/K

I'd like to see you versus a Camaro Z28/Firebird LT1. Those cars are said to launch very well out of the hole (More so then the LS1, due to better low end torque), but I know you'll wax them on top end.

You should try to do a video of you doing 70-150.
