Big day for Cassie

So, as I said earlier, we had some nasty storms yesterday, and by the time we

A)Finally got power and I was able to open my gate
and
B)The storms had calmed down enough for me to get outa the house and go on the prowl

I had already had a few Sammy Adams in my system and sum bacardi and limade mixes, so I was in no condition to drive. It really pissed me off because TCM was in town, and I really wanted to go see them. But I digress.

First, the story you've all been waiting for.

So I meet up at our designated location with some of the guys from work. They came with a few freinds, and my fan club was there, so right off the bat it was nice to sit and chill with some car guys. We were hoping Honda boy would show up soon, because when you are sitting in an empty lot, the presence of a very nicely modded G35 Coupe, a rather mean looking Mercury Maurder, and a riced out Civic on a Sunday morning usually draws the attention of cops.

So after about half an hour of waiting and two of the bikes running each other for fun, Honda boy shows up, ready to race. Of course, I heard the laundry list of excuses, but somehow last night the $100 dropped down to $25. Oh well, I still had a plan to fuck with him bad. After a short discussion of how we would run, we lined up, and my bud with the Gixxer 1K flagged us down.

The race itself was uneventful, as the entire time I peddled it pretty hard, so that by the ending point, I hardly had a nose on him. See, Pinks is good for something.

Now, my plan was to try and get him to go again, double or nothing, saying that the race was to close to call and it could have gone either way. However, I couldn't even let him play into my trap, for as soon as we both got back to the start, he jumped out and started tossing out excuses about a bad launch and a mis shift and his motor not pulling the way he wanted it to.

So instead of me having to argue for another run, I had to play it out like I didn't want to go again, that I wanted the money and it was game over. Eventually I gave in when he said "hows about double or nothing."

Line up again, same guy flags us, and I want to kick his ass cuz he was grinning so bad I thought he was gonna give away my plan.

I break up to 2.5k, kill the TC/DSC, and at the drop I punch it hard. Wind out first gear, already a car up. Blow through second with a hard, steady, clean pull, thrid at fifty and still going, walking away further, shift to fourth at 80, take it up to ninety, and shut down a good 7+ lengths up. I roll back to the start, hop out, and he just stares at me in disbelief. I ask for the money, and he says he wont pay, that I cheated. I told him that if he didn't pay up, then I, and the six other guys there, were gonna kick his ass. So he paid, and I told him to pop the hood. Ya'll ready for this?

The 'Vette beating D16 SOHC monster...had a Short Ram Intake and some of those colord wires. That was it. Nothing else. We all started laughing, I pocketed my fifty bucks, and we all left, leaving a gracious amount of tire marks as we pulled out of the parking lot.

Next up was a 3kGt, non VR4, had a dual exhaust though, looked like aftermarket mufflers, and maybe some other work. We were on a straight that usually has alot of racing on it, so I felt good about it, and paced him. We catch a red light, and when it goes green I get on it a little hard, but he doesnt go, but does get right up next to me pretty fast. I'm waiting for him to go, but he doesn't look over or anything, so I don't think he is gonna go. Right as I started to let off, he punches it, so I drop down into second and punch it when my nose was right at the rear edge of his door. He pulls out so that my nose is at the rear wheel at about 50, I slowly pull back and when we both shut down at 85, my nose was at his door again, a little further up.

We catch a red light, and he's reving pretty nice, so I'm sure he's gonna go, so I break up to 1.5k, wanna take it easy, and get a decent launch when the light goes green. This guy can drive, I'll tell ya that, because he gets an awesome launch. We are dead even to 50, and sixty I put a nose on him, and when we both shut down at well over 90, all I had was a nose. I give him the thumbs up, he flashes his high beams, and pulls of.

Next up, an RSX S cruises up on me fast, must have seen the 3KGT race, and starts pacing me at about 45. I look over, he looks over, I look back, he looks back, I glance ahead, he's still looking like he wants to race, so I don't give him the chance to get the jump and I punch it at about 45 in second. Pull about a car length up, shift to third, put about another length or so on him, he's not catching up at all, and I got a yellow light comming up, so I shut down at 70. I stop just as the light turns red, and he blows by me, and through the light, doing about 90ish. I hope he knows that the road we were on had installed red light runner cams recently...he had an exhaust (not sure how much of one, may have just been a can or axle back), and maybe an intake from the sounds of it. Any power he was making was instantly out wieghed by his insanley large passenger, and those ginohumongus Koenig wheels...

Final race is one that I was quite suprised with till I looked it up on dragtimes. Some guy pulls up next to me in a very clean Mazda Protoge5. Black, nice Motegis, sounds very nice. He said he saw me running the RSX and the 3k, and asks if I wanna go. I say sure, and he says he knows a good place away from any traffic, so I follow him out to the place, and he points for me to line up next to him. He said he would honk it down, so I say sure.

Then he purges.

Fuck.

So I'm thinking, well, this could be nasty. I break up to 2k, and he honks us down. I get the hole shot, but hardly pull at all through first. I hit second and start to walk pretty hard on him, pulling out to about three lengths. I hit third nice, and then I'm guessin he hits the spray and starts to walk up on me fast. I'm thinking it's game over, but he only gets as far as his nose to my rear door, and I'm thinking he's still spraying, cuz at this point his car is about a zillion times louder than it was when we started. We take it up high, shut down at 110, with his nose still at my door. He waved, gave me the thumbs up and I returned (we had slowed to sane speeds by now), and we went our seperate ways.

I was at a point of disbelief, so I decided to do some research. I found a CAI only Protoge5 with a 75 shot ran a 14.9 down in Houston, and on this guy when we were heading out to race, I didn't see an exhaust or hear anything that sounded like a CAI, so I'm thinking he may have been running a smaller shot, or maybe the CAI makes that much of a difference. All I know is I can add a sprayed car to my list of kills.

If this is to long for you all to read...to damned bad.

Re: Big day for Cassie

I thought you owned an automatic BMW for some reason? Good kills nonetheless. Sounds like the 3KGT non VR4 gave you a really good runs. Those are always the most fun.

I should try racing people for money.
