adjustable cam gear

hey guys (and gals) , i got a d16y7 in my civic, want turbo, swap and all that wish list stuff, but right now im wonderign about installing a cam gear without air tools, i have been told it is just a time issue that hand tools will just take longer, but has anyone done this before? possibly on a d series engine (like anyone tweaks them... =( ) i hear its just like replacing the timing belt but taking off the gear too, i dont want to mess up the valvetrain timing, anyone with some tech advice, let me know, thanks

just remove the top timing belt cover, turn the motor to top dead sensor slip off the timing belt, undo a 12 mm bolt and remove the cam gear... install in the reverse order...its not hard....or bad with hand tools.....
