1997 PA Window Problem Revisited

This is a request for some follow up on a few of the front window threads (drivers side)...especially http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t596743.html
and...
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t403550.html
and...

After looking at my window today the best idea appears to be to replace the "front vertical run channel" (solution to first thread referenced). This seems to be where the "play" is in the window and regulator assembly. Can anyone confirm this or offer other help? Thanks.

I've had a bad front window channel in two of mine. They were rusted though on the bottom. Just to confirm, can't offer help cause I took them to a body shop to fix.
