Hey Nisimohkr Welcome to AF

First off the answer to your questions, The G35 is the Skyline 4-dr, only difference is that it will be called the Infinity G35 here in the US and most likely anywhere else in the world that has been lucky enough to have the Skyline in the past will continue to keep the name Skyline.

Now most important (common mistake everyone is making), Nissan has separated the Skyline name from the GT-R which is what most people here love (I'm sure that is the model you are looking for). If Nissan keeps to their tradition the 2-door coupe of the Skyline aka the GT-R should be released in about 5-6 months without the "Skyline" name.

That's the best guess that most of us here have come up with as for what I put in the [] they are rumors so take it with a grain of salt.

[Round tail lights will remain]
[It will come with a V8, possible 3.5]
[It will be shorter and more rounded]
[It will be based on the same platform as the XVL concept]
[It will have stock 450+HP]
[AWD, AWS, etc will remain the same]
[Every car will come with it's very own Race Queen]

OK that last one would be nice if I could get me wife to agree

These are all rumors and have not been confirmed or denied by Nissan. Best bet is to hold on till Nissan makes an official announcement early next year.

As for "so plz b patient n teach me if i do anything wrong~!" I hate it when people don't spell out what they really mean to say. Just my opinion and request I feel that if you have something to say, just do it. Also I think L33t talking is sooo outdated and show's a lack of maturity.

Nothing wrong with it, but again just my opinion.

Either way, welcome to AF and keep posting

Ya, the G35 will be a 4 door here. But the GT-R will probably be a 2-door coupe. I hope the round lights are in although I don't know if they will be. V8 or V6 is what I've heard. And 400+bhp...Again thats just what I've heard. I'm not sure if the twin-turbo's will still be in though... And it will either be RWD or AWD. If you want to get the legendary 2.6 liter inline 6 biturbo you'll have to get an R32, R33, R34 or 400R.

I'm dreaming of a 3.5V8 TT with AWD, afterburner lights, and the GT-R badge. But, it would be cool to see the RB engine with more displacment as an option... Maybe and RB40DETTTT.... one can only dream...ya... a quad turbo GT-R....mmmmm.....

Maybe longer than past GT-R's "late 2002 at the earliest."

Well they did get a lot done. But in a nutshell they have concluded that there was atleast 2 of them, they had planed/ploted this out, and yes they want me dead (actually thats still debatable). On a not so grim note, yes I think a new R34 would be nice. But I still waiting. The Tommy kiara ZZ2 look like my dream car. And if TVR does start selling here in the states I might take a look at so of them... prolly the Tamora with some kind of mods. BMWs are getting better and better. But I don't know yet. If the R34s get into "bargin" prices I might just pick one up. But I want the V-Spec 2. American cars are also getting better every year. Well, atleast Corvettes are... ummm... donno but still leaning towards R34 GT-R. Or, (!!!), if the GT-R (G35) they sell here in America is great, and the aftermarket shows it, then I might get one of those.

Thumbs up

You have got some really nice cars on your list there mate But TVR is known for their unreliability.Think hard about that. Tommy Kaira are untested cars from really a small manufacturer. After sales support might not be good. If you are looking at that kind of cars, don't forget the Elise Sport (which I heard is sold in the US but not street legal). The new340R with even lighter than the current one (less 120kg!) is in the pipeline. That's mouthwatering:licker: And of course, as you said, the American muscle cars are alos there. Oh....choices....choices...

Just on a side note. Skyline is known as Skyline 3000GT in Europe and Japan. It still utilize the 3.0L engine. Whereas the G35 uses the 3.5L engine.

R35 Info

F20C-

I just returned from 2 years of living in Japan, and I love those Skyline GT-Rs. However, they are not called Skyline 3000GT in Japan. It may be Europe only where they are labled with that moniker.

Also, a girl I used to date in Japan sent me an e-mail saying that I will be upset, because the new skyline no longer has the round tail lamps that I so love! (Man those Japanese girls sure do look after you!)

I have been looking for some pics on the web but haven't found any yet....

Hey HellBent Welcome to AF and in your case welcome home to the US of A (just not the Skyline ) yet

As for pics of the new 4 dr Skyline if haven't already found them check out. http://www.freshalloy.com

If you know about the Skyline then I'm sure you know about the difference between the sedan and GT-R, well this is just the Sedan. No word yet from Nissan about the GT-R yet, but it looks like we may get the GT-R state side since the sedan will be sold at Infinity as the G35

Welcom to AF HellBent and in your case welcome home to the US of A

Check out http://www.freshalloy.com for info on the Skyline (SEDAN). There is no info on the GT-R version as of yet from Nissan, but you will find tons of "rumors" on the internet.

Thanks for the welcome!

Japan was an awsome time. I was amazed at how many cool cars they have over there that aren't sold here. Also, cars like the RX-7, 300Z, Supra, and others are still in production. You can get a 2001 300Z if you want.

I bought a 2001 vette, when I got back to the states. Best bang for the buck! I would really love to auto-x one of those Subaru WRXs, especially with a few mods on it. (Japan these cars have the full 276 hp package!)

Prices are much more realistic in Japan as well. The Lexus IS300 is called the Toyota Alteza, and it only costs $18,000. (Right hand drive though!)

Man I miss that place! It's like toyland for Big Boys (Oukii Gaijin desu!)

The new Skyline in Japanese don't get VQ35DE engine. They are known as 300GT in Japan and 3000GT in Europe.

On a technicality you are right the Skyline can be called a 300GT, but that's like calling an Accord "An Accord LX or Accord EX". It's only a name used to differentiate the models of Skylines.

It's been awhile since I've been back, but I doubt you will see someone call a Skyline by it's displacement. Then again I could be wrong

So in part you are both correct:frog:

EDIT: Igor, me thinks AF don't read Japanese as well as you do

See link to view the name's of each model I tried to paste above.
