Yes thats completely true! Merc are for the over 50 club who can live with the shody workmanship and niggling problems that are Merc traits!

However, BMW are for the low life! Scum and all that is bad in the world!

Take the BMW 3 series, what a boring over priced sales reps car! I really find it hard to put it in the executive car market because its used by people erning around 15K per year sales reps or even telesales persons! The Audi A4 is more of a executive car as it's drivers are more suited to that status (As a hole). Everytime a person cuts you up or you see someone being a really stupid prat, the person seems always to be in a BMW!

So to your question, yes BMW is better than merc and that goes without saying, but I would not shout about owning a BMW though (the shame would eat me alive, unless it was an X5)

ask anyone who isnt a bimmer jerk like urself who would give you the best luxury speed and handling and i bet 70 percent of the time mercedes will come up.

and bimmer..as aston said...is for scum. I've seen people that prolly make minimum wage everyday driving around in a 330i or whatever they are.

And im not dissing BMW but thats only cuz i like the 7 series.

But overall mercedes is def. #1 for luxury speed and handling

OK as retarded as the thread starter is....................BMW and Mercedes are companies which targer COMPLETELY different markets. For example- BMW's emphasis on sportiness (ie thier dynamics and engines) tries to put them amongst the younger crowds while Mercedes Benz put thier emphasis on luxury and tecnology and generally try to attract the older audience..


A good example of what I have said would be comparing the C32 AMG to the M3- 2 VERY different kettles of fish.

BMW = Poor Man's Mercedes

Power, luxury, speed, handling, build, STATUS, IMPACT...Mercedes takes all of those categories hands down. And the two most important categories, status and impact, it absolutely dominates in. But maybe I just feel that way because my parents own two of them I'm a big Mercedes Benz fan, love 'em to death. And absolutely no problems from any of the Mercedes' my family has owned.

Awe guys don't beat up on the Beamer drives aye. If it werent for all those M3, and M5 guys I wouldn't have as much of an enjoyable drive to and from work. Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face then pacing one and having a bit of fun especially when they have a lady friend in the car and are trying to impress them.

I have gotten my fair share of finger treatments lol
