0-60 time for '99 Max SE 5 speed
What can I expect for 0-60 mph time on the 1999 SE model? I've heard that the 5 speed runs around 6.8 seconds. Is it really that fast?

If it's stock it's above average...stock I think is 6.7 seconds

Thanks guys.
Anything under 7 seconds makes it faster than the Mercedes. My wife will love to hear that (the Max is her old company car, the Mercedes is a new one).

niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice....!!!, i own a black 99` max SE too......hehe...i so wanted a 5 speedo.......wanna trade?.....my 4 speedo is in perfect condition....!!
...haha, gtg....fix my liscence plate.....fell off today....^...ohh yeh....how fast is my max? 0~60? 7.5, 8?

Sorry, but it would break my heart to trade her in - especially since I waxed it last night.
I had a '99 5-speed SVT Contour which I sold (0-60 in 7.5 seconds) and then picked up the Max. The black machine is getting 75% of all the miles on our three combined cars. Pretty solid testimonial when the Benz is collecting garage dust. I think we're gonna' be together for a few more years yet.

Don't know if you'd want the tranny - my 17 year old daughter has put it through a couple of crunches ...  When we suggested that her younger sister learn on Michelle's Prelude, the answer came back "not unless you're willing to spring for a new clutch". Familial love obviously has its limits.
