0-60 time for a 96 integra gsr
im wondering how fast a 96 gsr does the 0-60 in. would the 128 lbs of torque slow it down?

depending on , how good the take off was, the tires, humidity, temp of air and driver skill the 96 stock GSR should run any where from 7.1 - 7.5+ sec, with 1/4 mile time of 15.3 - 15.7+ sec. this is pretty much true for all GSR, a tidbit lower for the 98-99 GSRs.

car and driver gave the '95 gs-r a rating of 0-60 in 6.5 seconds. for some reason the newer versions are a bit slower. check out www. car-stats.com

You will give them a run for their money. My friend's 2001 Integra GSR with just intake and exhaust, he is yet to lose to any 5.0 or 4.6 mustang. Except Cobra's, but those are on a different wavelength.
You'll take almost every mustang gt you see on the road. I beat a good condition automatic 88 IrocZ Camaro. And those are fast, and that was in my friend's bonestock, bald tired, 1996 Integra GSR.... The trick is... In a V8, you have to be a really good driver, and really know your car to pull those 5.9-6.1 0-60 times.... But in a GSR, you can be a moderate driver, have baldish tires and still pull 7.3 0-60, because Honda's engineering made GSR's beautiful cars to race with... Good suspension = good take offs. -----------------TORQUE????--------------- Honda's were made so they don't need torque... All you gotta do is drop the clutch above 4k rpm, if you drop it below, the low torque and low rpm horsepower band will kill you. Honda's have a great powerband, keep it in that range, which is vtec's job, and you'll not feel any loss of torque. -----------------------95 Type R???-------------- To whoever said that the 95 GSR didn't run 0-60 in 6.5 and that it was a Type R... You're way wrong.... The Type R didn't come into American production until 97. The GSR ran 0-60 6.1 in 1994 and 6.5 in 1995 because they didnt' have the Type R, so the GSR was it's supplement. In 97 they brought out the Type R and the GSR was tamed a little and given leather interior. So it was weighed down with cruise control, leather and a moon roof, and the Type R was given stiffer suspension, 25 more ponies, and suede interior with no moonroof for weight reduction. Get your facts straight---------------------------------
