question about convertor
Can anyone tell me what affect running a 1997 dodge dakota 3.9
without a Catalytic convertor will have. I'm really getting tired of replacing them, so i've taken all the insides out and I'm running it that way. will I hurt the engine or effect my power or gas mileage? thanks for any help. |

About your CC. I'm not sure but you might get a check engine light for emisions. That should be all. Performance won't change, unless you actually cut out the insides so its straight thru, then you'll get a little better performance, nothing to scream about though.

yeah, check engine light will probably come on. you will gain some performance clearing it out. you will also get a ting like sound out the tail pipes.

I already have a dynomax muffler on it, but by the end of the summer, I'm planning on some split header dual glasspacks (I just want it loud, but tings ain't gonna work).
