Angry Worse than rice, defacement!

Every time I go to the movies at the Jordan Commons in West Jordan I see all kinds of rice, and I do mean a lot. Then parked in front of the Mayan next to the theater was a Ferrari, naturally I have to walk over and gawk at it. My friends and I get over there we notice that the car has a bumper sticker, the dual exhaust has been swapped for dual center pipes, and to top it off the paint is faded. I am not sure what model of Ferrari it was but it was one from the 80s. This person had defaced one of the best pieces of machinery on wheels. It pissed me off, and then someone said could it be a kit car? I looked the car over and said that if it was it had to have cost the same because it is perfect in every detail. We concluded that this was the real thing, but who in their right mind would do such a horrible thing to such a beautiful car?

Have any of you seen the most vile of mods, defacement?

i do see a delorean around. but that guy kept it mint. but i would know how you feel. but think about it this way. he might not be able to afford to give it a new paint job. think about how expensive it must be to repaint a ferrari.

Yeah, the faded paint can be excused, but not the bumper sticker or center pipes.

At the Vegas Infiniti dealership, saw a 1998 Q45 ($54,000 new, about $28k depreciated) covered in those stupid sparkly Hot Topic stickers, the ones that say "My other ride is your mom" and "I'm the stranger your parents warned you about". Worst of all, a frickin Type R badge on the back. Oooh, I was so mad. I started complaining loudly about it, and one of the mechanics (I'm pretty sure it was his car) told me that Infiniti released a Q45 Type R to compete with high-end Hondas. Yeah, my ass. That just took it from degrading to REALLY degrading. As if the 266 hp V8 with 278 ft/lb torque doesn't have one-up on an Accord. As if Infiniti's flagship doesn't already best everything in the Honda lineup. (Didn't say Acura, so don't you Honda people get on my back.)

You see, that's what happens to underloved mid-engine Ferraris. They devalue quickly and end up in the hands of posers and morons alike. It's really a shame. I would've loved to take my cousin's carburetted 308GTS off of his hands. But, he traded it and a few other pieces in his collection (a Pantera GT5 and a C4 Corvette) for a Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer. Of course, now that he has that, he's looking at 365 Daytonas. Ahh, to own the advertising firm that brought over Aprillia and handles Buell.

Theres a Delorean running around here with a Corvette engine. that thing was sweet but he friggin painted the car white with racing stripes
and added ugly bling wheels

before it was stainless steel with billet mags but his son gave him the bright idea of painting it

he use to own a fiero V8 which i think is the same motor on his delorean the fiero crashed at a drag racing event 2 years ago

i dont know center pipes look cool but on a ferrari i have to see to believe. ferrari paint is pretty expensive and im guessing the cars were made of Fiber Glass back then too and its a pretty rigourous process to repaint as opposed to a regular metal bodied car

My friend in Seattle said he saw a 355 spider with a bumber sticker that said "I'm proud of my eagle scout!"
I almost cried when i heard that, but if you're rich enought then i guess a Ferrari is just another car

The worst thing I’ve seen is when people fill up their cars with crappy petrol instead of the good stuff. My car always gets filled with 98 octane petrol, never any less than that.

Or when you see a really nice car that’s been in a crash and they haven’t bothered to get it fixed and it’s all starting to rust.

note ahead of time, this is not a flame in any way, nor is it an insult unless you consider using facts an insult.

hahaha, wow, you really like to bash domestics without shit for knowlage hu? (is offically pissed at you bashing the zx2 and other domestics way too much)

Accent GS Adds:
1.6-Liter, 105 Hp. DOHC
5-Speed Manual Transmission

Escort Zx2
Engine 2.0L DOHC 16V Zetec I-4
Horsepower @ rpm 130 @ 5750
Torque (lb.-ft. @ rpm) 127 @ 4250

hyundai dosent even give at what rpm it hits that mighty 105, or what torque it makes. My moms geo, with the 1.2 producing 105 could clown on this car...why you might ask, because my moms geo is lighter. A GEO PRISIM can clown on the Accent, so dont go bashing a Zx2 with a hyundai....

for that matter, hyundai's are known for having horrable engines which are 50k wonders, after 50,000 they seem to turn to dust.

You could have at least said an NSX, I woulda laughed because I can see some punk ass trying to beat an NSX with his Zx2. But a hyundai?....not even a tiburon....

... your car was designed for regular unleaded.. putting in 89 and 91 doesnt help out the performance... just costs you more. engines with high compression and high performance engines need the higher octane to keep things happy.

ah but you forget the new Tiburon makes 181hp! for a car with a 10 year/100,000mile warranty. Not to mention with all the bells and whistles it only comes out to just under $20,000. That includes the regular powered accessories and a moon roof.

I think the new Tiburon will be a match for most compact racers out there straight off the show room floor. Dont forget the aftermarket ... theres a company that makes superchargers for Hyundais...

Tiburons make great rally cars as well.

Here, here! Give credit where it's due to the little manufacturer that could. The new Tiburon has a lot going for it, though I test drove one and found a ton of slop and understeer in the chassis. But that's why Koni and Eibach are in business, right? Plus, I think that it's one of the more attractive sport coupes in its category. I'd certainly take one over the current generation Eclipse. *shudders* Boy is that thing ugly.

Also, the Accent isn't such a bad little car. It's what Hyundai chose for their WRC effort. And we know it's lightweight. Makes me wonder if the Tiburon V-6 or 2.0L Elantra four is a bolt in.........
