Question Spec-V, SI, SIR (2003)???

Hey
Over the next few months I am going to be buying a new car and have narrowed it down to 3 (2 seriously, Spec vs SI). What car do u think is the best value and will be the best car for the long run?

Thanks

I agree on the Spec V as u can see by the poll"s, but besides that the Spec V blows the Si away in everyway or form. not to mention the LSD!!!! ohh and the power just to mention a few.

:sun: :flash:

gotta choose the spec V, more power and definitely more torque, the spec will win in a race even tho the SI driver is better than the spec V driver

the honda designers messed up on the headlights for the SI, other than that, the car looks pretty cool

Considering the complete lack of a real performance Civic model in the US I would have to say the Nissan as well. It actualy has peformance to match its looks.

Considering the fact the Civic is a mediocre car in all respects (exception=Type R) I'd say go for the Nissan MUCH easier to tune than a Hon-duh as well

mediocre compared to what?
The US model might be in terms of performance, but its still the safest small car in the world, and one of the most economical and practicle.
You will notice that it also started a design trend followed by Toyota, Nissan and finnaly the Europeans. (although all the Japa's in that class are designed in Europe, so they are in a sense european anyway).

Ummm.....I'll stop you there

NCAP results for Small-Medium cars-
Civic-Overall 27(79)%
Pulsar- Overall 26(76)%
3O7- Overall 30(88)%
Golf- Overall 25(74)%
New Beetle- Overall 26(76)%
New Megane- scored 33 points- AND comes trumps as the safest S-M in the world
A Class- Overall 27(79)%

As you see the Civic is similar in all respects of safety to it's main rivals- but then again they are European cars- not American market ones.

You are right- the American market one is better than all it's USM competitors bar the Sentra
(and Focus)- but throw a Stilo, 147, 3O7, Megane or even a Xsara int the mix and you will see what I mean by mediocre- no matter what version of Civic we talk about
