92-95 Civic Front End Conversion Questions
I've been talking to some people about doing this conversion on my CRX. From what I've heard, all I need are fenders, hood, bumper, and lights. And everything is supposed to bolt right on, but the fenders need to be flared a bit for some reason. Can anyone here verify that everything should bolt on, and there's nothing special I need to do to make it fit? Perhaps someone has a link?

Lol, if you're talking bolt on, you can forget it. First, maybe you should try to just find the hood. That bolts on the the stock hinges, but then you'll see what you've gotten yourself into. First, the hood is a bit too long for the car. So it won't latch to your rad support. That means you need a new rad support and extend your front end forward a bit. The hood also won't close without you cutting a bit out of the underside.
Next look at the fenders (right where the fenders meet the door). The shape of it is totally different, so some cutting will have to be done. Next, the bumper. The EG bumper bolts onto the rad support not the rebar like the EF's. As for headlights, they can be modded to fit the the stock rad support if that's what you want. (ie chop of one of the legs) There's white a bit of cutting and welding, and not much will bolt on. But it can be done, don't get me wrong. It's really not as expensive as everyone makes it out to be. |

Are you sure you're not thinking of the 96+ front end conversion? 'Cause I know the 96 front end requires some welding and other work, but the 92-95 is supposedly supposed to be a bit easier.
