1.Does any modelling company make a Jetta?(Any year)
2.Anyone every thought (or tried) to use modelling clay to make body kits?

1. I wish!
2. No
3. I would say go for it! Sound like an interesting combination since I feel they're both derivatives of the same car/idea anyhow!

1 - No! But you could modify a Golf, if your brave!

2 - Don't see why not but not stuck to your model, perhaps better used to sculpt a master from which to make molds.

3- Cool project, I have a UK model mag in which this guy made a Beetle with 959 running gear. It looked total shit coz he grafted on the 959 rear onto the beetle, i'll scan some pics 2moro - i'm off to bed!

1. I've seen a 1/24 die-cast Jetta; made in China or HK, I believe...

Here are those scans. IMO it just looks awful and a complete waste of a 959 bodyshell. I'm sure it could be done alot better.

It would've looked nice if he made the rear end more narrow. It juts out a bit too far for my taste. Reminds me of the old whale-tail Porsches. Also, it needs a body kit extension for the bottom. Its too far off the ground. :bandit:

I plan on keeping the body stock(might try making my first body kit).I'll try to drop the engine in the back,I will probablly have to remove the rear seats to make it fit,oh well what ever works.
