Revell Ford Mustang Mach 3

This is the revell kit of the ford mustand mach 3, the front windsreen is abolutely rubbish in fitment, howver most of the other parts arent too bad, the biggest problem, as with all revell kits of the era is that it has really badly drawn instructions, and an incorrect and incomplete colour guide. also i am still working on the hood because i am modifying it slightly.
Enjoy the pictures.

please comment as i am always eager to learn from the masters.

yes, i have recently bought an airbrush and have been using it to paint bodies, also this was my first project with the airbrush, and i am still getting used to it, so i did not use the airbrush everywhere, just in the body.

Re: Revell Ford Mustang Mach 3

Try using spray paint as you will get a feel of how paint should be sprayed, from that using an airbrush will become easier to use. Practice is what makes a beautiful model down the road. For the model, try using the tinyest brushes you can find for little detail like gauges, vents and small odds and ends (even a tooth pick will do a nice job). Also using masking tape is a must when airbrushing, less touch ups. The window would make the car look a little better also. Seems like your missing the mirrors also (glass). Just keep em comin and you'll have nice builds down the road.

Re: Revell Ford Mustang Mach 3

just keep it up and soon you will see how great having an airbrush is and you will be using it all the time. MidMazar pretty much sums it up very nicely. just take your time with the tiny details. I have to laugh whenever I see your signiature car, there are people I know that actually think wood can be used for anything.
