radio antenna

is it possible for this to retract when your listening to a cd? I hate the damn thing

i have the same feelings towards the antenna. My dad has a 92 corvette and he was able to buy a switch that puts the antenna down when he listens to a cd. I have been meaning to buy one because it was only about 3 bucks and see if it works on my monsoon system. If no one else has a better solution i will PM you with the results.

Hmm, mines always gone down whenever I switch to listening to a CD. Or maybe it's just because I have an aftermarket radio that it does that.

Thanks...i was thinking about shaving the antenna but i probably wont..even though i never listen to the radio..just cd's and my ipod..mostly my ipod thanks to gm9-aux

My antenna is always up and makes a very annoying sound when i turn the radio off.

That would be the sound of the motor in the power antenna retracting. It's normal.
