Vtec Controller?...why recomended for H22?

Hey i was going though a thread here, and i notice they recomended that if you have a Prelude (H22), then it;s a good idea to have a VTEC Controller on board.

Why is that?

I think i read that lowering the vtec setting is actually benificial and increases power.

as per the other post yes thats true for the H22.
For all other Honda motors it will only have a negative effect on performance.
