what is it called

i what a question my car has been leakink old so i had my auto teacher look at it he says it leaking where the distributor use to go on theses car does any one no what that is called he did not what it was called some teacher

3.4L correct? If so, then the distributor on the 2.8's and 3.1's used to be located right behind the intake manifold. So if your lucky, then it would be the back of your intake manifold leaking.. but in the worst case scenerio, it would be your rear main seal.

no that it called like oil drive shaft or somthing like that what ever it leaking will cost less then the rear main oil seal will to be fixed
