Exclamation Body Kits!!! What The Hell!!??!

i fill like im the only one that am sick of this sceen. the whole body kit thing is bugging the crap out of me.why cant ppl just stick with stock or jdm bodys; or at least do a tight convertion like an S15 front end on an s14 or a fastback. theres to many ppl out there that rev up on everyone thinkin there tight but all they really have is a body kit and some crappy and cheap lookin clear tail lights. "o sure wow u might have a muffler and some headers o ur fast now."man when will ppl learn did they see the fast and furius too many times and did they take it liturely!? i mean come on ppl u invest so much in ur car why not invest it wisely. modify ur engines for gods sake. thats ur main priority.but even if ur car is fast and u have body kits and airbags and crap like that i wont give u shit i mean the idea is to go fast ppl that do this stuff give import cars a bad name.but i guess not everyone can be smart enough to make there car go fast and make it look cool. most dont. most just make it look like .....well lets just say something that souldnt be on the street. i hope i made my point and cleared some of ur ppl's minds.by the way im only 15 and now u can see how much i love cars and how much i care about them cause cars dont deserved to be craped out.cars are my life and it will always be that way. thank u.

Oh trust me, I know. I've been hanging out "incognito" at car events while I'm on my bike, and it's just ridiculous what these kids think is "cool" There's a kid in my area with an AUTOMATIC Cavalier (not Z24) with a "TF&TF" green body kit so it's supposed to look like the green Eclipse... OH WHATEVER!

It's much more fun as a girl to walk up to some kid with neons and tezzas and ask what they've got under the hood, only to find that it's SLUSHIE!!! Then when you walk away laughing you try not to fall down from the tears blurring your vision b/c you're laughing so hard that your stomach hurts!!!

I have been done with "the scene" for a long time now. I still enjoy doing stuff to my car but that is for ME, not anyone else. I kept it simple: lowered with wheels, a few bolt ons, stereo system, and a few goodies for my interior. Is is fast? No, it's a slushie. Is it loud? Ya but I don't boom it much.

Well I am tired so ignore my ramblings

I figure people can do what they want. Its their car.

All I reserve for myself is the right to make fun of their behavior.

I'm with Kat here!

But to sound like I've been around awhile........come on!

You should know from your parents back in the day, people made there cars just look good and not much else. Sure they tuned it and all, but the big thing was to look good. I'm 15 too and love cars, but let people do wat they want with it, it's like another thread I saw where peepes complaining about a guy with to much money. He earned so, let it be. Sorry, but people seem to always harrass others, but just let things be.

Thanks!

Well, I have set aside a very small amount of cash for the Jetta's mods, I aren't going to have nearly enough to make it faster, I can afford to redo-the interior and a few exterior mods, does that make me a ricer???

(Or is my car Pasta) :finger:

To each their own. That's what I say...

However, you contradict yourself... You say you're sick of body kits, but you think it's OK to swap for JDM body parts... what's the difference really? Both are not original parts for your car, and, neither makes your car faster (which seems to be your main point of contention). The only difference I see is that your personal preference is for JDM stuff... As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I've got some performance mods, I've got some cosmetic mods. Does that make me a ricer or not? I don't have any stickers on my car. I don't rev on camaros or mustangs or even other civics. I don't think my car is gods gift to pavement. I want a car that drives well (fast, good handling), and a car that looks nice too, so I divide my attention between cosmetic and performance mods. I feel I'm well on my way to achieving that goal.

Mods are one-at-a-time for me... maybe you'll understand that when you actually become an adult (and can actually drive your own car)... there are lots of other things that require money (bills, et al). Not too many people can just blow 20-30K on their car all at once to provide themselves with a built engine and aesthetic appeal, so you have to prioritize your modifications...

At this point in time, maybe you should make education the priority in your life?

P.S. LOL Mr. T... Beat me to it!
