i got pulled for my corners once. and i was told that aftermarket modifications is illegal. blue or purple hid's on lexus', etc. is legal because it comes from the manufacture that way. as for the muffler, i believe its legal up to a certain db level... but since there is no way to prove how loud it was, they can just say it was too loud. and well... you cant really argue with a cop. theyre just like parents, even when theyre wrong, theyre still right.

thats fucked up that they did that shit. As far as fixing it I say you leave your headlights the way they are and slap amber bulbs into everything else, the inspector prob wont know the difference, especially if the inspection takes place during the day

Good luck!

Wow, they're damn strict out there in Cali, huh? Over here in NH, the cops couldn't give a $h1T. Anyone and everyone slaps a pair of hyper white's or "Cool Blue's" into their car.

they aint that strict here. its just that when u get pulled over for any reason and see a honda or acura. the know that some stuff on the car has to be aftermarket. the main reason they pulled me over was speeding but he said that he will just give me a warning cuz i have a good record and just gave me a fix it ticket which i think is better than a ticket. this ish my first time getting pulled over and i was wondering wat do i do after i change everything?

central cali eh? coo.........yea them headlights should stick on. everything should be changed for the inspection. but like they say if its aftermarket its illegal. i hate it when your like an accord with like 3 chevy pickups around with after corners, mean sound system, and mod. exhaust. and they pick you out of the bunch. guess cops dont like imports. pick you over the truck and the truck is louder than yours. its crazy in cali. anyway. after you proved you fixed everything. either put everything back on or sell it :bandit:

hey come on now... dont sell it, unless its something i can use just put it back on and dont get caught speeding. i had a good cop friend, but most ive run into are just dicks. total abuse of power. ive only gotten pulled over for blue signals, and blue fogs(that werent even on at the time, but he told me to turn them on in the parking lot... and sited me for having them. aint that some shit).
and i guess they thought i was a crazy guy with blue bulbs, cause he even made me wait while he called for backup. and after all that i got the ticket signed a week later or so. went downtown to get it checked so i could pay the ticket.

i went into the police station, the guy asked me where i parked. and he asked me to park in the lot right outside. so i walk down the street to my car, drive it back to the station. go inside, he asks me if i fixed it, signs it off and takes the next person. that son of a b*tch mother f*cker didnt even get up to look at the car. my taxes pay this ass' salary, and they just waste my time.

i know that is bull shit. i don't know the laws in cali but in oh if u go to court and have a not guilty plea they will reschedule you for a new appearance in court, and the cop will have to show up. Well for stupid shit like that or for minor speeding tickets they won't show up so the charges are dropped. and i did not make that up. i had quite a few cops telling me that. i have a job that interacts with cops almost every day.

i didnt have to goto court. i had a fix it ticket. but when i went to the station to have the cops check it out and sign off the ticket, they made me go through all kinds of trouble, and then didnt even look at my car. they just signed it, and went to the next person.
