Playing with a GTI and a kill with a Subie.

Well, since the Sebring is gone I've been driving the GTC to work until the Stealth arrives. Today on the way to work I ran across a guy with a 1.8t GTI that work at the same place I do. So we mess around with each other and even in my cars crap condition he wasn't walking on me as bad as I had thought being that he claims he has a chip, short ram, and exhaust.

Anyhow, we get to the bottom of the hill and there is a turbo Subie wagon that wants in on the action. It wasn't a WRX or anything. We get to a light and I rev up the engine to let her know my intentions. When the light went green I didn't launch, she did. Didn't matter, I passed her in first and just blew her away. For having a turbo, that was one SLOW car. Hell, I can’t even go WOT.

Re: Playing with a GTI and a kill with a Subie.

You sure it wasn't a debadged WRX Wagon?

Cause I've never heard of a non WRX turbo Subaru Impreza. Otherwise it's just 173hp... rather than 230hp in WRX trim.

No, it wasn't an Impreza, it was a turbo Legacy. It only has 160HP and 183 ft/lbs of torque which explains why I waxed her.

Yeah, I bought a 1991 Stealth R/T TT from someone on the 3Si boards. Here's a link to for sale thread:

http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=332514

The reason the car ins't here yet is because they have until the 12th of this month to pick it up.

If you're asking about the Stealth, I ended up getting it for $6,400.
