Evo VIII kill...

I got a white one tonight goin' west on I10. Got next to him and went for it. At first i revved at him, he didn't bite. So i paced him for a few seconds. Still nothing. I just made a quick downshift and got a couple bus lengths on him to show i had something for him. So we're coming up to the 101 N and about 1/2 mile before the onramp to the 101 we went for it. This time i knew he was going for it so i downshifted from 5th to 3rd (yes...from 5th to 3rd) and immediately stopped his pull and reeled him in. Shifted to 4th, and passed him easily. I heard him give up once we got closer to the onramp. So now we're going N on the 101 and he stays back for quite a while. I slow down a bit to let him catch up but i guess for some reason he didn't want to get side by side. Few miles go by and i see him coming up (I was fully expecting the ricer fly-by) i give him a thumbs up as he goes by me slowly but he doesnt acknowledge it and keeps going. i exit and head home.

My weekend warriors' first kill for this weekend

lol, yeah i can see how it sounds like fishing

bulldog: its to hot to take out for very long so i just take it out once a week to keep the engine bearings with a fresh coat of oil on them. It does not........like hot weather at all but it was cooler out tonight than most so i went ahead and got on the highway for a bit, that's when all this went down.

Really? on the 101? I didn't see any at all. If there were i think they may have been further north like around Bell Rd. Where there's ALOT of street racers and such. But then again i was only on it for a couple of miles heh.

Ahh, that makes sense then.

You know what that means right...time to buy a Chevy.

Oh its a 331 H/C/I combo. A little to much for a stock Evo but anyway it was cool. There have been like 4 other evos' that i've beat in the past few months and every single one has done the fly-by. This dude actually didn't which really surprised me. He had dark tinted windows, i could barely seen him. But he was looking at me when i gave him a thumbs up, he just looked over. Sped up a bit and kept on going while i exited.

Re: Evo VIII kill...

Nice Brandon. I see you have finally learned to allow yourself to downshift that thing. But then again, weren't you still breaking it in when we raced the SRT-10?

If I weren't so damned busy with a new baby, I'd hit ya up for a ride.
