14.3 @ 96.8 mph

Rather than update the crappy time, I thought I'd start with the new less crappy time hehehe.

Ok first run: wheelspin, missed shift, tagged rev limiter yada yada yada.
16.0 @ 94 mph. Hmm I always seem to STUFF my first runs???????

Second run: Good reaction (.496), quick out to 60 feet (2.25, my quickest ever) but shifting into 4th. BANG!!!! ba ba ba ba. OH SHIT!!!
I'm thinking the worst but still had oil pressure. Idle back into the pits and the motor is idling like a bridge port, Popped a lead off the dizzy.PHEWW!!!

Third run: Baby it out of the hole (.468), accelerates like a Hyundia pftt. 14.9 @ 95.8 mph Hmmm

Fourth run: Bumped the timinng a little. Felt good the whole way YeeHaa. 2.27 sixty, 14.369 @ 96.8 mph. I had run 96.3 before but that was on a 14.8. On my quick(est) 14.4 I only ran 95.8, so I picked up .1 of a second and a whole mph from the headers but that would have been from weight loss (12kg) not power gained.

3.2 mph to go!!!!!!!!!

Glovebox already gone hehehe
Pulled the beam axle out today and Im making a chrome moly one. The beam aint that heavy but still should drop about 20 kgs. There are other weight losses being worked upon as well. Id like to drop 25 to 30 kgs before the next meet (from the car)
City to Surf on Sunday so with that and some other excersize I plan on loosing 5 to 8 kgs myself hehehe

Bahaha. You flyboys crack me up! PLease tell me you've got lex windows. That would save several kilos. You could chop the roof off and have a convertible - more body roll and shit but a lot lighter for a straight line missile. Hmm..what else? Get a one piece fixed fibreglass racing bucket - but only 1. That would save a bit. Take off all unneccesary (non heat related) coverings in the engine bay. etc...You crack me up Chucky. We've got to go on another cruise so I can meet you.

Already got one piece racing buckets but I race it how I drive it which means passengers seat stays.

Actually changing the rear end to leaf springs over the next week (or so...) I should run nearly 98 mph next meet but we'll see........
