Question Jackson Racing Supercharger

A guy at my work has a CRX w/ blown motor & for sale. One guy wants the body cause he already has a bad turbo ZC for it. The CRX has many goodies like 8psi jackson, injectors, fuel pump, upgrade pulleys, MSD ignition, any way i can the motor & trans for $1600. Is it worth it, we don't know what condition the supercharger is internally. The price cant be beat. I need a new tranny(or different) 2nd & 3rd are pretty much toast. Need the radiator, new alternator wouldn't be bad. But my intention for my car 91 Si HB ZC motor, are for road racing. It's gonna be a hard decision. Bottom end of my motor would require a little work, head work is complete. I don't know HELP! gimmie your input.

to be honest about those jrsc's. i got 3 friend with them and all of them have broke already. so would reconsider the jrsc. well i should also mention that all of them are racers, actually pretty hardcore racers, llike me , so they are used hard

but that my opinion

I have had my D16 JR'ed now going on two years now. Almost a year with the Z6 Mini-Me head swap. Never had any probs with it at all, but then again I don't take it the track, and run it into the ground, etc... hehehehe

Anything will break given enough abuse... However, I also run mine hard, and up to 100+ on regular bases...

I only no of one peep that had to send his back. Come to find out it was a pully failure, rather the the sc itself...

Most of the damage comes from peeps dropping them (they just don't bounce very well). Or using a Wet System, and spraying before the TB.

As long as you "know" some of the history on the sc, that is a killer deal as long as you know none of the above happend... hehehe

HEHEHE... I would rather have the toaster, then a "toasted" engine/drive line... Form my turbo componets failing, for one reason are another, or something breaking in the drive line....

Like mentioned above, they both have their limitations. It's just what you willing to put up with...

Of course JR is going to want you to send it in... However, I picked mine up used too. I had more probs with the @#$# mech. that did the engine rebuild and sc install, then anything else...

Yes, I do plan to go turbo sometime in the future. Sooo, I am not trying to slam them...
