I have a 95 civic ex w/ d16z6 in it and about 97,000 miles.
I’m going to get me tax refund soon and with what I have saved, I have enough for the Jackson Racing Supercharger. One reason I was going supercharger instead of Turbo is that its a lot easier on my engine. My Question is with 97k on the engine, would it still be foolish to go SC? Should I rebuild first? If I should is there something less then a full rebuild I could do? i.e. head gasket and head work? Any Informed replies would be appreciated. New pictues comming soon. (waiting for summer)

97,000 miles on the engine is nothing. You shouldnt have to rebuild the motor to throw on a JRSC. Although when the miles get higher...that's of course when you want to think about rebuilding it.

I dont know why people say turbo is so bad.. but i dont agree with what your saying about how JR are easier on the engine. Ive read more stories of ppl having problems with them. And later on down the road ppl who have JR's end up turbo'n later on cause they want more power.
JR put strain on the crank cause its ran by belts.. So think what you want.. The only thing if u get turbo is make sure you get the right kit and not 2 big of a turbo for your engine.. thats why you get lag.. the greddy kit is good.. late mhx
