New GT-Four?

I heard rumors of a new GT-FOUR, is this true? I heard that Toyota is gonna replace the UltimateCelica with a new gt-four wit 550hp and etc. I heard they're gonna make it to compete with EVOs and STIs. are they gonna release this to the public? or am i dreaming again?

I think you are dreaming. The only reason built an All-Trac/GT-Four was for the WRC (homologation rules stated you had to build x amount of cars to compete) Since Toyota has pulled out of Rally racing, there is no need for the car manufacuter to build another GT-Four. Sad.

Toyota still rallies, but the GT-4 has been dead for some time now. It was far too bulky to be able to seriously compete with the WRX, Evo, and others, so TTE moved on over to the Corolla platform (IMO, a good idea). Furthermore, the newer Celicas were designed at Calty where design doesn't seem to accomodate international requirements such as rally racing.

Re: New GT-Four?

I would really love to see a 7th gen gt-4, the old ones were ugly, but i bet the new ones would be pretty tight
