loss of power

I have a 1998 cvpi. when i am driving down the road it feels like it stalls but does not always stall. the red temp light flashes and it feels almost like it is not getting gas. i am getting a code of p0112. when the car is stopped and running it will stall everyonce in a while. Anyone have any ideas.

Re: loss of power

Check the connection at the intake air temperature sensor, if all is good replace it.

Re: loss of power

This may sound funny, but also check all the coils. We have had 5 of these do the same thing, but they would die also. Would crank over but not start until the key was turned off and back on. The primary windings in the coils were shorting out allowing secondary voltage to go the the PCM and screw with it. If you have a scan tool, hook it up and see if you lose communication with PCM when problem occurs.
