Is this messed up or am I lucking out?

Well, I had just packed up the last of the sellable parts and finalized all sales (if you bought something, it's already been shipped BTW) anyway, now my grandfather isn't letting me have the civic hauled off, he says since I complained about not having a place to work on it he's getting an aluminum car port to go back there and I think he's paving it. He's also grabbed the title (didn't know he knew where it was) so I didn't have the junkyard take it off since they wont take one without a title.

I dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, it'll take me a very long time to rebuild it since it needs a LOT of parts, I could probably have it running with a DX D15 engine in a few months and I found one at a Junkyard cheap, it's attached to the tranny I've already claimed to replace my old tranny.

I dont know what the hell to do, I want a 4th gen civic, modded sedans are rare around here, I already own it, and I've got enough time to mess with it now...

I'll probably keep it around a little while longer and see if I can work out the wiring problems.

I guess I'm just pissed off that it took him until I had pretty much everything usable sold off of it before he finally decided to get a real paved surface for me to work on, so I could finally swap engines.

sorry about the long post, needed to vent...

Think of all the fun you've have finding those parts again and putting the car back together!

At least you have a place to work on your car. I live in an apt., no room anywhere...

Gutted mate. Still, I agree with CRX586, having a place to work is gonna be damn good. Post pix as you go!

Question

Hey dude...is that it up there in your avatar??? Is it the dark grey EX?
What else do you have left that you might want to sell???

If you are gonna make it run again, even better!! But if you want a few more $$ I might take some parts.

DOHC ZC, I,H,E, urethane bushings and mount inserts, rock chipped hood, some rust, stock steelies, nice comfy Integra seats, and the A/C works! What else could you want from an 18 year old car with 241,000 miles? Working on getting the Si tranny in now

yeah, that's it. I've pretty much sold anything worth anything off of it, but I tried keeping it somewhat in-tact. just to get my front end replaced it's gonna run me almost $300, and about half of that to replace the interior pieces. Then we get to the engine...

Well, I started work on it today, since I didn't have anything else to do... I was able to finish getting the intake off and most of the wires disconnected. the wiring isn't in as bad of shape as I had originally thought but there are a few places the wires are brittle. There's a way to fix that... snip, solder, heatshrink. I have also figured up a way to get the old engine out, I'm going to drop it on a couple pieces of wood, jack the body up high enough to clear the engine and pull the engine out from in under it. Since the old engine is trashed anyway I'm not too concerned about it. I may be able to get it done by the weekend. I'll go snap a few pix and probably just use my website for my progress.
