apexi s-afc

has any one installed the apexi s-afc in their g20. if so how is it. thinking of getting one for my 92 g20. any input will be nice.

It tricks the ECU by changing the MAF sensor signal. You can make the ECU think there is more or less air than there actually is. The ECU will compensate by adding more or less fuel. It's a 2D map system that is based on 8 (i think) rpm settings and the AFC will map a nice curve between the points and A/F settings.

I think for a 99+ I would be good for getting a bit more power out of a full bolt-on motor. I wouldn't be ideal but there really isn't anything else. Since you have a 92 I'd just personally get the JWT ecu.

so how do you guys set the parameters of the afc? do you monitor your fuel/air guage or take it on a dyno? how would it react with OBDII?

Future mods: dressup wheels with Potenza S03 225/45/17 tires, TurboXS UTec, maybe an uppipe. by then, it'll be fast enough.

I got mine and got it tuned on a dyno...I had a dyno sheet but lost it...anyways..It made 5Hp and thats pretty much all I remember...wish I never lost that sheet...Installation was pretty easy but couldn't find rpm..but found it later on after some help from friends
