Question Am I Right...

Am I right in thinking that to convert real sized items to 1/24 scale all I need to do is get the real measurements and divide that by 24?

So that a real 17inch alloy rim would be 0.7083 of an inch in 1/24 scale?
17/24=0.7083
If I'm wrong could someone please let me know how to convert the measurements?

You've got it!...

I usually work in millimetres - there are 25.4mm to 1inch

So fly's maths lesson for today -

17x25.4 = 431.8mm therefore 431.8/24 = 17.99mm so 1.8cm

simple!

'I live my life two furlongs at a time, 'cos for those ten seconds or less...'

Ahh the possibilities!!

P.S. For those of you who are thinking W.T.F? There are 8 furlongs to a mile!
