He is saving it for me so any of you that think your gonna buy it over me then HAH, lol, i drove in the car and yikes its really quick, he is selling it to me for $11,000 Cash, as you can see its all rebuilt and comes with 4 extra tires(some racing brand) do you think this is a good deal? a 3000gt is super rare in michigan let alone a VR4, cars ARE HUGE thing here in detroit so having one of these would make heads spin(accept the dam local supra). What kind of questions should i ask? so i know it wont break down within a week? any help would be nice.

Only 200 miles and he says hes saving it for you?? I dont buy it one bit. Thats a car that can fetch more than what its advertised for. And if someone sees it it will be gone in no time. Sounds scammish.

^you should be driving an sl, becuase a good 85% of the time a thread like this is made, another one is made about 3 months or less about how the owner crashed it... either that or we won't hear from them after a while, and well when you put 2 and 2 together, you know what the deal is. Be carefull, and if you do get i don't be an ass and end up wrapped around a poll because you were trying to impress some chick with huge knockers.

i kno a friend that got seriously hurt in a race and i dont plan on racing until i get very fam with the car. And its 200 miles on the rebuilt engine, hm no one knows what type of things i can do so i dont get scammed?

I told you, read the FAQ, get a carfax, bring somebody who is a competant mechanic or knows these cars well, with you, bring an adult, test drive it, don't just send money over the internet, but see/touch/drive the car in person.

Why did he get a rebuild, what did the rebuild entail, ask specifics, if it was done improperly, you very well might trash the new engine on the way home.

What mods does he have, post them up, so we can see, because all he mentions are 13g turbos and alamo intercoolers, what fuel mods does he have, what does he use for tuning? Post up his answers, so we can look for inconsistencies.

And I still say, that being 17, this car is not for you, for the exact reasons I posted in the above thread. Like I said in there, everybody says they will take it easy, or they can handle it, and that attitude lasts just long enough for them to wrap it around a tree. Nothing personal, it's just the way it is.

the guy lives a half hour away from me he doesnt have full coverage on it now(since it sits in garage) so he test drove it, ill ask all the questions you told me thanks, and what type of gas does vr4 and how much does mpg it get? ty

if you're asking what type of gas it takes, or don't know the general area of a MPG rating it gets you should do yourself a favor and buy an SL; still plenty quick, same killer looks, and can get good gas mileage if need be.

The VR4 takes ONLY premium fuel of 91 octane or better. The SL could get away with 89 or 90 octane. The SL can get anywhere from like 9MPG (if you're flooring it everywhere and sometimes even less) to about 20ish MPG in the city, and anywhere from like 25-30 on the highway. The VR4 depending on how it's maintained (same thing goes for the SL btw) can achieve about 17-18 in the city and 25ish on the highway (but generally you have to baby it to get those numbers)...

No one here is trying to be an ass, but to me, from the amount of info you seem to know about the 3/s platform, you really should NOT be buying a VR4... Just do Mitsubishi a favor and buy an SL and S/C or TT it later, no one wants to see another VR4 on wreckedexotics.com
