I was racing an rx7 and I peeled off the start all the way to redline then i shifted and missed 2nd so i was reving a lil more past 7000 rpms right after that i put it in 5th cuz we were going to cruise at another light and when i put it in 5th it started to redline so if neone has any clue to what might have happened please let me know..... I know its not really alot of information but all I know is that when i put it in every gear it redlines just as if I was in 1st gear so if any of you or any one knows something please reply and let me know what you think..

Your clutch is dead. Get it off the road immediately. A performance clutch will run you between 300 and 400 and labor will be around 300. Or, you could learn to do it yourself. It took me and a friend about 6 hours to do mine, but we kept getting up and doing other stuff. We also had to change an axle. Here is what I want you to do. Go out on a road close to home with a 45 speed limit. Put it in fifth and cruise at about 2500 rpm. Then punch it. If it shoots to redline but the speed barely increases, your clutch is on its final step. I blew mine doing an awd launch and didn't make it home. I did however smoke a GST out of the hole.
