2003 Grand Prix GT-Disable Daytime Running Lights??

Hi,
I just traded in my old 96 Grand Prix (175,000 miles!) and got a 2003 GT...
The 1996 used to have auto on lights at night but not all day...
The 2003 has them all day long too...
Is there an easy way to make them only auto on at night?
It's the only thing I don't like about the car...

Thanks for any help!!!!

Based on your title of the thread the daytime running lights can be disabled and the auto headlight system will still work at night. See link below:

Ok...I just tried it...
Is there a trick to disconnecting the wire harness?
I can't get it to disconnect.

I hope GM did not change anything on the 2003 model. Did you find the right connector? It plugs right into the heat sink. Most GM electrical connectors have a lockdown that looks like a latch. It should be at the bottom of the plug not back where the wiring goes into the plug. Try carefully prying the latch/lock down up slightly with a small flat blade screwdriver and then pull off. Also, be careful and do not get shocked. Ignition to off and battery negative disconnected for safety.

There is a blue plastic tab part that could be the latch...
I tried prying it up...
I will go try again...
Thanks for the quick answer!
