alltrac wannabe celica custom

well i recently got the tamiya toyota celica gt-r kit as a gift, (along with the tamiya respol escort cosworth rally kit) and i decided to make it into a custom alltrac look-alike (or almost lookalike) aling with bodykit and all that...
here's what was a bit of inspiration

and here's what i have so far... (its in the very early stages still though)



obviosly the two intakes beside the large one arent done yet, i only have the starter holes done so far.. but plaz give me some input..

Loving this car, the bodykit looks excelent, have you got a set of rims to match the ones in the picture?

well i have some more progress to report on this one.. i've flared the sideskirts out more, finished the slatted vents in the hood like the alltracs have, made the two smaller intakes, and puttied eveything up and gave it all a rough sanding. I've decided to use R33 rims with it, cuz i had them laying around and they seem to fit fairly well, and im using the stock wing, as it also fits well with the bodykit still. well here are all the pics...

Your work is great.

You do realise you could have used the Tamiya Celica rally kit as a base for the alltrac version though and saved the hood work.

yeah, but i got the stock celica kit as a gift, and decided i wanted to convert it to an alltrac..

well i've had a bit of boring progress on this one... so i got fed up with seeing it just sitting there, and i had a can of flat black spray, so guess what, i painted it (and almost all the parts for it) flat black, and let off of the bodywork, even though the putty was cracking , i just want this for a fun/quick custom... so here are the pics, generally self-explanitory... and yeah... the windsheild cracked... arrghh... not sure wether that was from me or what... but yep.. it sucks. now for pics.

Wow, if you didn't tell me the arches were scratch built, I'd think they were from the factory. They look really good. Not sure about it being flat black though.

lol yeah thanks.. i was going for a more factory look for the arches, not for a hardcore super widebody feel... and the black, i dont mind, but its more just me being lazy...
