Escalade all show no go...

Me and my g/f were out riding around last night wasting gas. I came up to a red light at about 11:30 right next to a "blingin" Escalade. This thing was nice. I felt like I was in a lowrider instead of a Jeep. I couldnt tell you what size rims it was sitting on but they had to be at least 24".

Anyway, we all had are windows down. It said it was 68 outside so it was nice and cool. I looked up at the passenger side window and this young white guy looked at me and I gave him the heads up. This guy looked away like I didnt mean shit. I said ok. Next thing you know I hear someone yell something...

backseat driver: "thousand dollars"
me: "what"
him: " I said a thousand dollars"
me: " thousand dollars for what"
him: " thousand dollars you cant beat this Escalade"

I started shaking my head "no way"
him: "you think you can beat this Escalade"
me: "I know I can"
him: "put up a thousand"
me: "I look like I got a thousand dollars your the one riding in an Escalade"

All his boys started laughing..there were four of them. none of them were over 21.. about that time I look at the driver and he's eyballing the opposite light waiting for it to turn red...

I told my girl to hold -on...light turns green and we took off..

I was like "oh shit" I am pulling like crazy on him. I was yelling out my window "what's up".. I get to about 50 and let off, railroad tracks ahead. He flys by me and has to come to a complete stop to go over those tracks, didnt want to bend those rims, I guess..I came to a stop with him and we went again to about 75. I shut it down after pulling several car lengths on him.

They wanted to go again but my g/f had enough. so I let them go on there way...I dont know who they were they had Florida tags, but they sure looked good getting that beat down...

I wish I had bet them at least the 22 dollars that I had on me. all in all a very fun kill...Things might have been a little different if it was only one person without the "big wheels"...Oh, and by the way it was a newer Escalade....

Re: Escalade all show no go...

Well as I was shaking my head and telling them no way, I was think wtf does this guy have in this caddy to be so cocky. After everything was said and done I just figured the cockiness came fromthe money...I should have said I had the grand, but in the case that I didnt win I wouldnt be able to get away from them either... I am as real as they come and dont take much from anyone but I know when I am outgunned...thnk you zoloft for letting me be reasonable

Re: Escalade all show no go...

people usually don't race caddys with 100 lbs wheels becasue they don't want to move and they can't stop. its funny how they can actually think that slow slug is actually fast hahah. they must've ridden go peds before that to actually think a escalade is fast. ( granted the new ones are pretty peppy )

Re: Escalade all show no go...

The new Escalade's have a 6.2 liter 403hp V8... all aluminum too. It's what's probably going to be the base V8 motor in the next Camaro.

Re: Escalade all show no go...

I saw the Porsche with 500hp also... When I got home I looked up the caddy and I think it was like 345hp/380lb. ft. at like 5800 pound. add the weight of those rims and you have a sweet looking cow on wheels...I will post a death later on so every one knows that my Jeep is slow...not that its a secret...I got a full tank of gas and its like 68 degrees out so I will be ridin all day.....

Wow man your Jeep is so fast and cool. First a Tib and then a Escalade. I always thought Jeeps were just the greatest things to race with. Must be all that power that the exhaust tip makes, or maybe the 100whp from the K&N.

200hp in a brick

Just shows not all ricers drive imports.

Wow, they just keep popping up. awesome. Anyway, stig, that new motor the slade has now is pretty nice, I think they were getting around a mid low 14 out of it in MT. It will be interesting to see how the camaro does with it.
